Facebook has opened a new security feature that allows users to see which machines the browser is logged into the user's account.
The feature also allows the user to remote logout Facebook session on the other machines that are logged into your account.
This can be useful in two contexts. First, it is possible for the user to see if any unauthorized access to the account, in that it appears in the list sessions done with machines that the user does not recognize. In the list given an approximate geographic position for each machine, making it easy to see that the machines could not possibly have been used by myself.
Then you should use remote logout in this session and change passwords.
In addition, one can also see the logins that you have done, as you forget to exit. This can be on a friend's computer or on a public computer at the library. Also, these sessions can then use remote logout.
The feature builds on a feature that was launched in May, where the user can accept that only selected devices can be used to log in to Facebook account. The user will receive a message, either by email or SMS, if someone logs on from a unit that has not been approved.
The new feature can be displayed and activated by going into the account settings in Facebook and then select "User security".
